Family Owned & Operated Eco Tours
Our family has been operating eco tourism products since 1997, our base of operations for the last 26 years has been the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Our first tour was the Bioluminescent Lagoon kayak Adventure located in the town of Fajardo, Puerto Rico off the Northeast corner of the island. We are proud of our 26 years of operations, as well as holding the title of the Original Outfitter for the Bioluminescent Lagoon kayak Adventures and still bringing a fun, safe, memorable, experience to visiting guests that come to enjoy Puerto Rico’s history, culture, flora and fauna. Some years later 1998, 1999 our adventure in Puerto Rico, turned to developing guided rainforest nature walks into the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. Forestry System the El Yunque National Forest. This true wonder of nature is 28,000 acres of tropical rainforest and has to be one of the most beautiful places on the planet. 23 years later we are proud to offer guests day and night interpretive nature walks into the canopy of the El Yunque National Forest. Our Family
Nilsa Montanez and I, Michael S. Grasso Jr. met in October 1997 and have been working and building our beautiful family and businesses ever since. Nilsa my wonderful, wife handles the administrative, bookings, customer service, online systems and staffing, along with many other things, she is the heart of our operations. I on the other hand build the tours, from a paper idea to a legal operating tours, I am a passionate outdoorsmen and love nature, history, culture, flora, fauna and people!
In April 2002 my first born daughter Patricia Grasso would start my journey as a father. As time progressed, I looked to have her be a part of my outdoor passions. For this reason, I began to bring her in a backpack carrier on all of our outdoor adventures and even to business meetings. As you can see she has been around the business from a very young age. Today she plays a big role in our company by over seeing and maintaining our base of operations in Puerto Rico and is a try blessing to our family.
Then in 2007 my second born Cristopher Grasso came into the world, a beautiful little boy that in no short coming has followed Patricia’s path of joining me from before he could walk on our outdoor adventures. He has loved the outdoors, nature, fishing and sharing time with me ever since. Today, 15 years later, he has joined me in our next big adventure; the development of our tours in the epic and wondrous Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Eastern Tennessee. We started our journey from Puerto Rico to Tennessee on his 13th birthday and have not looked back. We then started working together to build our knowledge of the areas history, culture, flora and fauna. Creating a connection with the local people and sharing they’re knowledge of the area and joining in on local experiences has also been part of the learning process. Needless to say two years later we have shared many great experiences and had time to mold our business together in such a way that time will never be able to take away as the journeys many, many memories will live on into our great future as we continue to bring our family owned and operated business to the local and visiting public.
So, from our family to yours, we invite you to join us for your next adventure into Eastern Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
